STEAM Night

Snellville Middle School held its annual S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) Night on Thursday, March 16th. The event featured popular attractions such as the Reptile Wrangler, Hunters in the Sky, and Star Lab. In addition, SMS science and math teachers partnered to host various hands-on learning activities for students and parents. Also, more than 30 SMS students participated in the S.T.E.A.M. Night science fair where they showcased their individual research and experiments.

The focus of this year's S.T.E.A.M. was highlighting student work while fostering greater interest in the arts and sciences. For many students, this was an opportunity to provide real-world applications to the content covered in their courses. Sixth grader Ceairra Campbell sums it up best, "I felt really confident after completing my science fair project. I realized that I could do it. S.T.E.A.M. Night was a lot of fun."
