The Lady Comets finished their season undefeated in regular and post-season play with a record of 17-0.  The Eastern Division Champions' Lady Comets overpowered the Western Division Champions of Pinckneyville Middle School and clinched the overall Gwinnett County Middle School Championship Title.  Way to Go, Ladies!

We are making “Connections” in the Middle School

The South Gwinnett High School Peer Leaders have been presenting classroom lessons and having “high school” transition talks with our eight graders. These leaders have been visiting our eight Connections classes for the past three weeks. Our students have been learning about how to handle conflict in high school, how to effectively communicate with peers and adults, and how to overcome academic setbacks and challenges.

We appreciate this partnership with the high school leaders and their sponsor, Ms. Heather Harris. SMS students value the insight from older peers about academic, social & teen concerns they deal with daily in the middle school.

We are looking forward to future vertical ventures with SGHS!

We also want to take the time to congratulate all our students who were able to participate in our Valentine’s Day celebration for making All A's or A's and B's first semester. Many times, we have opportunities where students can participate in various activities however; we do not always get an opportunity to recognize all of our student’s hard work in the classroom. Keep up the good work students!
